Young Entrepreneurs  Business School

Welcome

GLVA was founded by Heather Tomkowski, a local entrepreneur on a mission to teach the next generation the importance of working hard for themselves and pursuing their own happiness. The Young Entrepreneurs Business School is designed for children ages 7 – 12. With the purpose of instilling  an entrepreneurial spirit and teaching them the principles of work ethic and responsibility. Our students begin the summer learning about financial responsibility and applying for business loans. They create business plans, marketing plans, complete a loan application, and interview for virtual funding. Upon approval, they will create budgets, maintain inventory, provide customer service, problem solve, and manage employees.

Your child will develop self-confidence,  social skills, and problem solving skills after their experience at the Young Entrepreneurs Business School.

This camp helps develop reading, writing, and arithmetic skills, all the while creating the next C.E.O.'s of America.

More About the Camp

Our annual Summer Camp allows children to create a business from scratch. The children develop a concept, a business name, source of their products, create a budget, and work on their business operations.

Your child will develop self-confidence,  social skills, and problem solving skills after their experience at the Young Entrepreneurs Business School.

Our students learn how to manage employee salaries, the square footage, rent amount of their space, cost of utilities, pricing for the products and services, and marketing expenses. Once that is completed, they will be open for business selling real products to the parents, students, and staff of GLVA.

Our students gain experience navigating the legal system for real-life problem solving skills. With the assistance of Eric. Roy & Associates Law firm our students were able to re-enact a mock trial. The trial was created on a problem that every business must face, theft. The children were assigned roles in the trial and learned how to litigate their problems logically.

Each year our students  gain additional problem solving skills and develop self management skills.

We're happy to introduce 2019's new business ventures at GLVA!
